Caldwell's Auto, LLC first came to NMDC in 1998 as a family owned and operated business  known as Caldwell’s Auto in Caswell, ME.  With the assistance of the Business Finance Department they were able to expand into Limestone and start an auto repair shop specializing in the refurbishing and rebuilding of salvage vehicles to a used vehicle with a clean title for resale. 

Within a few years, the sons have taken over the Limestone business and purchased the surrounding property at their location in Limestone. A year later they again expanded their business to include an office and paint booth on the North side of the road.  They’ve gone from basic auto repair to auto restoration, as well as the purchase and sale of used vehicles and parts. 

NMDC combined the resources of Private, Public, and Community funding to help change a small family business into an operation that currently employs 14 people and has a good reputation in both the US and Canada  for its quality work in refurbishing vehicles.
