Northern Maine Solid Waste Management Committee

The Northern Maine Solid Waste Management Committee (NMSWMC) is a group of municipal officials, solid waste management professionals, and concerned citizens who meet on a monthly basis at NMDC's offices.

These monthly meetings provide a forum to share information on waste management programs, waste reduction and recycling strategies, the latest recycling technologies, and pending state and federal regulations or laws relating to waste management.

NMDC staff make available the meeting place, record meeting minutes, schedule guest speakers, and present or organize solid waste management workshops for the Committee.
